For three days thousands of people from Blackburn Hamlet and many outlying areas will take part in our annual Funfair. This exciting community event has become a must-attend weekend of fun and activities for people of all ages.

Thanks to local businesses, every year the Blackburn Funfair keeps improving – attendance grows and new memories are created.  Your donations help contribute to an amazing event and this year, with your help, we hope to feature a new list of activities that will have people talking for the summer!  Be a part of the fun in 2019 by making a contribution on behalf of your business.

In return for your generosity, all contributors of this year’s Funfair will receive advertising in a variety of mediums consisting of signs at the Fair, the local BANAR newsletter, the community website, social networks, as well as our cinema screening at our Friday movie night.  (Please see sponsorship chart below.)  Your business’ support will contribute to a community event and generate publicity in ways that conventional advertising won’t.

  Sponsorshop Opportunities
  • Bronze sponsors ($100 or less) will have advertising in 1 of 4 mediums.
  • Silver sponsors ($101 to $499) will have advertising in 2 mediums.
  • Gold sponsors (contributions over $500) will have advertising in ALL mediums.

Your donation of time and effort would also be greatly appreciated.  If you and your staff would like to get involved and volunteer to help us, please contact us at: infoblackburnfair@gmail.com.  As the fair grows each year, we require more volunteers to manage all of our events and activities.

Please support the Blackburn Funfair by forwarding your donation prior to May20th, 2019.  We would love to hear from you and thank you in advance for your generous and appreciated donation and hope to also see you at this year’s Funfair as either a volunteer or supporter.

PARADE: Our theme this year is soon to be determined and volunteers with shopping carts will continue to collect food donations along the route to support our local food bank.  It’s a fantastic way to showcase your business and support the community’s food bank.  The parade, open to local schools, groups and businesses, is held on the morning of Saturday June 1st and begins at 10 am. The route is from Louis Riel High School, down Bearbrook Road to the fairgrounds at Blackburn Arena.  If you are interested in being part of the parade, please contact Ilona at: parade@blackburnfunfair.ca

SILENT AUCTION and KIDS RAINBOW AUCTIONOur Silent Auction and Kids Rainbow Auction are popular attractions located inside the Arena on Saturday June 1st and are also our major fundraising event of the Funfair.  The Auctions are open from 10am-3pm and new this year for Silent Auction items is a “BUY IT NOW” option.  All funds raised go directly back into the community!  We are seeking donations for these auctions-please contact Trisha: sponsorship@blackburnfunfair.ca if you would like to support the auctions with a donation.  A formal silent auction request letter may also be sent to you.

BUSINESS SHOWCASE in the arena: The Business Showcase is held in the arena on Saturday June 1st  from 10am until 4pm.  This event provides an indoor escape with presentations from Rays Reptiles, a bouncy castle, and the opportunity to get to know local businesses and groups.  Local business, non-profit organizations and community awareness groups can book a table to display the products/services available to our community.   Table rental with 2 chairs provided costs $75.00.  If you are interested in being part of the showcase in the arena, please contact: showcase@blackburnfunfair.ca
