For three days during the first weekend in June, thousands of people from Blackburn Hamlet and neighbouring communities take part in our annual Funfair. This local community event has been a tradition since 1971 and strives to provide an affordable family festival weekend full of fun activities for people of all ages.
We invite you to be a part of this year’s Funfair and consider becoming a sponsor of this year’s fair on behalf of your business.

Want to show your support in another way?
PARADE: The parade is open to local schools, groups, and businesses, and will be held on June 3rd, starting at 10 am. The route begins at Louis Riel High School, 1655 Bearbrook Road, and travels south down Bearbrook Road, to the Lois Kemp Arena and fairgrounds. Food donations for our local Lifecentre Food Bank will be collected along the length of the route and are greatly appreciated. Take part by contacting parade@blackburnfunfair.ca.
SILENT AUCTION: The Silent Auction take place inside the lobby of the Lois Kemp Arena on the first Saturday in June. The auction is one of the main fundraising events of the FunFair with all funds raised given directly back to the community. If you are interested in donating an item, big or small, you may do so by contacting sponsorship@blackburnfunfair.ca.
BUSINESS SHOWCASE: The Business Showcase is held in the Lois Kemp Arena on the first June weekend. This event provides an indoor escape including presentations from Rays Reptiles, a bouncy castle, and the opportunity to get to know and shop local businesses and groups. Local businesses, non-profit organizations, and community awareness groups can book a table to display products and services. Applications are processed on a first come first served basis. This includes one table with two chairs. Take part by contacting showcase@blackburnfunfair.ca.
VOLUNTEER: As the Fair grows each year, we require more volunteers to manage all our events and activities. Volunteer by contacting funfairchair@gmail.com.
