Every year the community of Blackburn Hamlet and the surrounding area enjoy our local three day fair on the first weekend in June. This exciting community event has become a must-attend weekend of fun and activities for people of all ages.
Thanks to local businesses, every year the Blackburn Funfair keeps improving – attendance grows and new memories are created. Your donations help contribute to an amazing event and this year, with your help, we hope to feature a new list of activities that will have people talking all summer!
Be a part of the fun this year by making a contribution on behalf of your business.
In return for your generosity, all contributors of the Funfair receive advertising in a variety of mediums consisting of signs at the Fair, the local BANAR newsletter, the community website, social networks, as well as our cinema screening at our Friday movie night. Your business’ support will contribute to a community event and generate publicity in ways that conventional advertising won’t.
- Bronze sponsors ($100 or less) will have advertising in 1 medium.
- Silver sponsors ($101 to $499) will have advertising in 2 mediums.
- Gold sponsors (contributions over $500) will have advertising in ALL mediums.

PARADE: The parade is open to local schools, groups, and businesses, and will be held on June 3rd, starting at 10 am. The route begins at Louis Riel High School, 1655 Bearbrook Road, and travels south down Bearbrook Road, to the Lois Kemp Arena and fairgrounds. Food donations for our local Lifecentre Food Bank will be collected along the length of the route and are greatly appreciated. Take part by contacting email@example.com.
SILENT AUCTION and KIDS RAINBOW AUCTION: The Silent Auction and Kids Rainbow Auction take place inside the lobby of the Lois Kemp Arena on June 3rd. The auction is one of the main fundraising events of the FunFair with all funds raised given directly back to the community. If you are interested in donating an item, big or small, you may do so by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
BUSINESS SHOWCASE: The Business Showcase is held in the Lois Kemp Arena on June 3rd and 4th. This event provides an indoor escape including presentations from Rays Reptiles, a bouncy castle, and the opportunity to get to know and shop local businesses and groups. Local businesses, non-profit organizations, and community awareness groups can book a table to display products and services. Applications are processed on a first come first served basis. Payment is $60 for one day and $75 for both days. This includes one table with two chairs. Take part by contacting email@example.com.
